I think that this story about a girl changing into a mermaid is a lot like the story of how Purupriki became a star. They are both about the same length (one page) and in the end the main character turns into something else. In some ways they are different like one is Aboriginal and the other takes place in an area with money, beaches, proper clothes and armlets.
