P.L. Travers

P.L. Travers was born in Maryborough, Queensland on the 9th August 1899. Her full name is Pamela Lyndon Travers. When she was born her name was Helen Lyndon Goff but she changed it. She admired J.M. Barrie, the author of Peter Pan. P.L. Travers made the Mary Poppins series which had eleven books. Only one of the books has been turned into a movie. The four most popular books are: Mary Poppins, Mary Poppins Comes Back, Mary Poppins in the Park and Mary Poppins Opens the Door.
